I received my Midwifery degree from UBC in 2005. In July of 2005 I knocked on Jane Blackmore's door and asked if she wanted a practice partner, Jane said "let's give it a try", and East Kootenay Midwives was formed! Prior to this I received my nursing degree in 1996 and worked as a public health nurse in Canmore, Alberta focusing on Maternal/Child care.
In 1999 I moved to Fernie, BC and fell in love with the East Kootenays. With my combined experience in public health and hospital births experienced at the Elk Valley Hospital, I knew that caring for families having babies is where my passions lie.
When I'm not busy with midwifery I love spending time with my family, mountain biking, doing yoga, hiking, reading and spending time with friends. I look forward to getting to know you and your family on this most amazing journey.
